We have been fortunate to have executed numerous transactions with private equity sponsors – from the placement of growth equity, to complete recapitalizations and leveraged buy-outs. There are more than 100 separate institutional private equity funds that will invest in the energy service sector. These funds’ appetites vary based on many factors, including: the size of investment, geographic footprint of the company, stage of the company in its life-cycle, sub-sector of the energy service space and structure of the transaction. By maintaining our relationship with these firms, PPHB is aware of their interests and is well positioned to create a competitive market for the placement of private equity and the sale or recapitalization of energy service companies.
